Questions, answered plainly.
For practices
Is it really free?
For our founding year, yes: most engagements are pro bono. Standard engagements after that start from a modest fixed fee agreed up front, and we waive or reduce fees for community organisations and practices facing hardship.
Who will actually do the work?
A dedicated team of three to four carefully selected postgraduate and senior students, led by an Engagement Manager, with the Founder partnering on every engagement and an advisory board in support.
How much of our time will it take?
Usually one to two hours a week from the practice owner or manager, plus short interviews with a few staff members.
Will you need access to patient records?
No. We work only with de-identified or aggregate information, such as appointment counts and wait times. We never access clinical systems or identifiable patient data.
Do you give clinical advice?
No. Our scope is strategy, operations and administration. Clinical decisions always remain with your clinicians.
Do you sell software or take commissions?
No. We are independent of vendors and receive no referral fees, so our recommendations are made solely in your interest.
What happens at the end?
You receive a concise written report and a presentation to your leadership team. Six to eight weeks later, we return to measure what changed.
About AI
Can you help us choose an AI scribe?
Yes. We assess market-available tools against privacy, data storage, consent and professional guidance, and can support a small pilot so you can decide with evidence.
Is AI safe to use in a practice?
Some uses are well established and others are not. We help you separate the two, and we always direct you to the relevant professional and regulatory guidance before adoption.
For students
Who can apply?
Postgraduate and senior undergraduate students in health management, business, commerce, economics, data, IT, and clinical disciplines.
Is the role paid?
Roles are currently voluntary. In return, members receive real client experience, case-interview training, references and named credit in published case studies.
How much time is required?
Around five to eight hours a week for one semester, largely flexible and remote.
